Simulating the sound field near the very low frequency seabed is a challenging task. Experience and extensive knowledge are needed to select parameters that conform to physical laws and appropriate grids to ensure robustness and reliability. A grid of one-sixth wavelength is usually used empirically, but simulations have shown that it is not sufficient to use a one-sixth wavelength for fluid and elastomer coupling fields. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the superiority of parabolic equations in the computation of this problem and to verify some of the seismic acoustics conclusions using a non-uniform grid approach. Finally, the effects of different depth grids on the calculation results are shown.
