Information systems on organic farming: FADN and market statistics

This paper aims to set the stage for a discussion in the EISfOM seminar on the way established agricultural information systems like Farm Accountancy Data Networks (FADNs) and market statistics deal with organic farming. For those who are not familiarwith these data systems: FADNs gather farm income data to monitor and analyse CAP and related policies in professional agriculture; Market/price statistics gather price data of standardised representative goods and services to calculate price developments and to improve market transparency.
