The prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of mastitis pathogens has been investigated in Argentina in several studies (1, 2, 3). In many countries, the reduction of the national somatic cell count level, has been accompanied by decreased prevalenceof subclinical mastitis and a change in the prevalence of mastitis pathogens. The last surveys in Argentina were carried five years ago.
