Interferon-alfa therapy of infantile giant periqcular haeman-giomas. The role of ultrasonograhy during clinical follow-up

Introduction: Though cosmetically blemishing, usually, infantile cutaneous hae-mangiomas have a benign natural history. Typically they appear shortly after delivery, and the frequency is higher in pre-term children. Most haemangiomas remain small, but some tumors expand markedly within the first year of life. With subsequent spontaneous regression as a definite clinical trend, however, the prevailing therapeutic attitude is conservative.
