The purpose of this paper is to clear the effect of applied voltage on ozone generation and find an optimal applied voltage waveform for ozone generation. First, the characteristics of ozone generation by sinusoidal wave generally used and rectangular wave are compared. As a result, when the rising rate dV/dt of applied voltage is small (kV/msec), it is cleared that the smaller dV/dt becomes (discharge rest time is short) the more efficiency ozone is generated. It is also showed that the characteristic of ozone generation when using the original applied voltage waveform.
