When carrying out analyses using the Boundary Element Method (BEM), most graphical postprocessors employ an auxiliary domain mesh to plot contours. This works less efficiently than the superior modeling process of BEMs, which should represent models exclusively with boundary discretization. The main objective of the algorithm proposed in this paper is to eliminate the auxiliary domain discretization in the visualization of domain results in analyses with the BEM, thus preserving its basic properties. This algorithm is based on the direct and automatic identification of isocurves and isobands. It uses the well established iterative/predictive techniques of non-linear analysis. To illustrate the performance of the algorithm and its efficiency, this paper presents some results for plane elasticity problems.
