The mathematical model of profile-shifted straight bevel gears with Octoid form is developed based on the gear theory and the gear generation mechanism. The developed mathematical model is then applied to plot computer graphs of this type of gearing. In addition, the geometries, characteristics and tooth undercutting of the profile-shifted straight bevel gears are also studied.
