PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straight bevel gear manufacturing method that can suppress the investment of an installation cost, shorten machining time, and the like, and a straight bevel gear manufacturing device capable of forming (manufacturing) a straight bevel gear at a low cost with simple structure and positively machining the straight bevel gear in a short time.;SOLUTION: A disk-like cutter 12 is mounted to a tool shaft 1, and a gear 2 to be cut is mounted to a rotation controllable spindle 3. The tool shaft 1 is moved along triaxial directions to revolve the disk-like cutter 12 while reciprocating the cutter 12 in a direction of approaching and separating from a vertex 01 of a pitch cone of the cut gear 2 along the tooth space of the cut gear 2, thus allowing the appearance of a virtual crown gear.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
