This paper briefly introduces the method of testing the real electrostatic sensitivity and gives the data processing method in terms of the critical ignition energy of EED conforming to normal distribution. Based on the method, the real electrostatic sensitivity of five kind of EED is given. Considering the practical process of manufacture and handling, the ESD model is established. According to the ESD model and the real electrostatic sensitivity of EEDs, the method is put forward that determine the threshold value on electrostatic safety.
