This paper describes three important applications of implantable biomedicine system: Auditory implants (Brain stem implants and Cochlea implants), Visual implants (Retinal prostheses and Cortical prostheses), peripheral neuroprosthetic implants (Bladder stimulation, drop-foot stimulation and Stimulation of spinal cord and brain). In the current implantable systems, the cochlea implant and peripherally implantable stimulators are successful implants. Material research is presented both from the technological aspect and from their biocompatibility as prerequisite of any implantation. Additionally, some problems between the implantable system for nerve function prosthesis and the biological environment are discussed. The future perspectives in neuroimplantation and restoration of interrupted neuronal pathways are given.
