Synthesis of TRIZ Philosophies with Complexity Theory and Psychology of Creativity

Creativity in the design of long-term organisational strategy, where the future environment is presently unknown can be understood using models from complexity theory and psychology. Together they form a broader view of creative strategy, indicating the environment where systematic problem solving tools are suitable to use. The creativity approaches of TRIZ and 'structural tension' are understood and put into context with regard to a complexity framework called Cynefin.
