Ontologies are very important to represent and reuse knowledge. Manual process for building ontologies is tedious. Semi-automatic methods are an available approach to construct ontologies. In this article, it is proposed a methodology (EVOLUI) and a technique, called FLEX, to build ontologies from taxonomic and non-taxonomic relations extracted from web pages. Using lexicographic analysis, concept-words are extracted from web pages, and then, relations and axioms are built. Axioms created through FLEX are evaluated with recall and precision and finally, ontology is expressed in OWL.
