The characteristics of winding, effective in manufacturing fine wire coil with small diameter, bob-bin rolls and so forth, were simulated with the drawing direction angle attached to the die entrance and exit. The optimum drawing in angle for manufacturing of fine wire coil was simulated by three-dimensional elasto-plastic Finite Element Method analysis. Various parameters such as drawing direction angle, residual stress and of work hardening that influenced the drawing in setting angle were examined, from which useful data was obtained.
