The purpose of this work was to address the dynamic restoration mechanisms in pure a-zirconium at elevated temperature. The restoration mechanisms include dynamic recovery (DRV), various dynamic recrystallization mechanisms. Specifically, the presence of dynamic recrystallization during high temperature mechanical testing (400 deg C to 750 deg C) was assessed. This analysis can assist with the interpretation of the activation energies for creep-plasticity.
