Weak pulse magnetic field was used to stimulate Wistar rats to explore the effect of magnetic field on retrieval (recall) ability and its mechanism. The results indicated that pulse magnetic fields impaired the retrieval of information of rats, but the influence died down with time prolonging. Compared with control group, the contents of hippocampal NE, DA and 5-HT in stimulated group increased (P<0.05); While the contents of ACh decreased (P<0.05). And the energy ratio of alpha and beta rhythm in EEG power spectra changed in cat after induced by pulse magnetic field.
