Toward the use of statistical analysis in positional tolerancing

摘要

In this paper a novel method of positional tolerance analysis is discussed. These tolerances are critical in the assembly analysis. The statistical approach is introduced and its performance is evaluated nil a best case study. Industries claim that statistical tolerance analysis is necessary in order to perform a reduction of the cost of manufacturing assembly and inspection process. Some applications are given to highlight the advantages of our statistical approach.
