The influence of the Stoichiometric ratio, SR{sub}2, has been analyzed on the concentration of CH{sub}4, CO, CO{sub}2, NO, NH{sub}3 and HCN at the outlet of the returning zone using natural gas. Experiments have been performed for SR{sub}2 values ranging between 0.75 and 1.05 and temperatures between 1200 and 1500°C simplified kinetic model of the chemistry of NO reduction has been developed and the values predicted have been experimentally checked.
