摘要

Three separate experiments (E, E+C and C) were carried out on 180 Wistar/Hannower rats. The rats were divided into six groups in each experiment depending on the vitamin E and C addition to the feed and the exposure time. The control animals and therats from group II were fed the standard "Murigran" feed for rodents but animals in groups III - VI received feed enriched with vitamin E, E+C or C. The experimental animals from groups II - VI were exposed to 1.0±0,4 mg O_3/m~3 air for 8 hours a day over 5 weeks. The influence of ozone on lymphocyte blast transformation, metabolic activity of volumetric granulocytes and macroscopic changes in lungs were analysed. The results showed statistically significant increases in neutrophyl activity in ozonatedrats fed with the standard feed when compared with the control group. Vitamin E supplementation in feed sustained neutrophyl elevated activity regardless of the vitamin supplement. Low supplements of vitamin C and E and C together resulted in further increases in volumetric granulocides activity, which decreased after the application of the maximum vitamin doses. In all experiments on ozonated rats fed with standard feed, a lowering of lymphocyte blast transformation index was observed. Mixed or individual vitamin supplement with low vitamin E and C doses had a positive influence on the blast transformation index, as opposed to the negative effects observed after the application of high doses of vitamin E or E+C. Based on the experiments, it may be concluded that the application of natural oxidants in feed at doses exceeding recommended levels is beneficial when rats are exposed to ozone.
