This paper presents three sets of analytical exact solutions to collisionless gas flows from a two-dimensional exit. The first set is free plume expanding into a vacuum, and the other two sets are collisionless plume impingement at a vertically set plate. Both diffuse and specular plate surface reflections are considered for the plume impingement problem. Numerical simulations with the direct simulation Monte Carlo method are used to provide several test cases, the flow field properties are obtained, and very good agreement is observed between the exact and numerical simulations.
