This presentation consists essentially of 3 parts: Lubricants used in the food industry and its peculiarities from a hygienic and toxicology point of view, the way of registering products used in this kind of industries and also the main international standards regulations about this kind of lubricants. Lubrication excellence in the food industry: World Class Maintenance begins with an excellence in all related- aspects of lubrication and a radical change in the way of lubricating the equipment. It also involves many concepts which are usually difficult to control. The lubrication Excellence aims to improve the equipment reliability and represents a deep change in the way of understanding lubrication process. It requires a change in certain concepts such as the nipple guy for a lubrication technician with a specific background in lubrication, and the consideration of the lubricant as a durable asset not as a disposable or cheap product.
