The production of synthesis gas by reforming methane with carbon dioxide is arising much interest nowadays. This process results in a suitable CO/H_2 ratio for the production of higher hydrocarbon and oxygenated derivatives. Meanwhile this reaction is of great significance for environmental protection. Nickel catalysts have a high catalytic activity for CO_2 reforming of methane (1,2) but the reaction is easily deactivated due to carbon deposition (3), metal sintering (4), sulfur poisoning (5-8) and phase transformation.
