PREFACE: XV Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics

摘要

Medical physics, in its broadest sense, is the application of concepts, theories and methods of physics to medicine and healthcare, with as an objective to diagnose, treat or prevent disease. Medical physics is carried out as a profession in hospitals and is an active area of research at universities. Since 1997, the Mexican Symposium on Medical Physics is organized about every 2 years in different cities of the Mexican Republic as a forum where clinical medical physicists, researchers and students may meet to discuss the latest developments in the field.
