Changes in Traffic Pattern caused by Atlanterhavsvegen

The paper provides information about the effects that the realisation of Atlanterhavsvegen in More og Romsdal County had on traffic in the area. This is done both verbally and with charts. Atlanterhavsvegen was partly financed by turnpike money from 1989 to 1999. The statistics on the users of the road are very detailed and is in this paper used to divide the users into two groups, tourists and local residents. The distinction is done because Atlanterhavsvegen opened up for tourism in an area that had not concentrated so much on this before. The charging of fares ended in 1999 and the paper describes what has happened with the traffic in the area since then.
