Investigation on the structural requirements for binding integrin alpha_(IIb)beta_3

摘要

Since the discovery of the cell adhesion sequence Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) in fibronectin,it has been shown that the RGD sequence serves as a binding site of many adhesion proteins to integrin receptors.The RGD sequence incorporated into small peptides can mimic these adhesion proteins,and can regulate cell-cell and cell-matrix interaction.
