摘要

There is increasing interest in the use of promising phytochemicals as nutritional supplements. However, many candidates are only poorly soluble and can exhibit low bioavailability. Recently, a new formulation strategy has been developed that combines a number of approaches to bioavailability enhancement.~1 The strategy is to form micron to sub-micron particles of dietary phytochemicals associated with mixtures of surface-active agents that promtoe intestinal uptake. This approach has been adapted for a number of active ingredients including the cruciferous indole, diindolyl methane (DIM) and yohimbine bark extract (YBE).
