Recently we showed that liposome formulations can be used to improve the activity of human interfeeon-gamma (hIFNgamma) as adjuvant in tumor cell vaccines~1. The conformaiton of a therapeutic protein may be compromised when formulated in particulate delivery systems and is therefore important to assess~2. In this study, we investigated the conformational stability of hIFNgamma upon interaction with and after desorption from liposomal bilayers, using circular dichroism (CD) and fluorescence spectroscopy.
