The UK Government is working to achieve their target to supply 10% of electricity from renewable energy by 2010. The approach includes the new Obligation on suppliers to buy energy from renewable resources, backing for R&D, a more positive, strategic approach to planning, and additional funding for demonstration projects through the Comprehensive Spending Review.
