GEOSYNTHETICS TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FROM A KOREAN PERSPECTIVE

摘要

This paper addresses a number of issues pertaining of international technology transfer in the area of geosynthetics. It presents our perspective on the current state of technology transfer from developed to emerging situations. Issues of sharing information and partnering will be discussed. In addition, a model organization for efficient technology transfer will be presented that takes into account cultural, economic, developmental, political and governmental factors. It is felt the GSI-Korea is in a unique position to assist many others in discovering ways to use and disseminate geosynthetic technology. Through public and private contacts, we are well positioned to open new markets and broaden the use and acceptability of geosynthetics throughout Asia.
