In order to describe the distribution nad spread of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in our burn unit, promoting the prevention, surveillance and control of nosocomial infection, we isolated 58 strains of MRSA and 43 Methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus auresus (MSSA) from 504 specimens from burn wound area and anterior nares of patients, hands and anterior nares of medical staff members and patients' relatives as well as burn unit environment.
