The steel paltes for ship-body buliding with varios wstrength levels can be produced by the short process: melting by DC furnace-refining by ladle furnace-rolling by double stand four high mills-heat tratment by waling beam normalizing furnace, with strict controlling the carbon equivalent. The quality of various grades of steel plates for ship-body structure can be guaranteed by different technical measures of the reduction of S content, lowering C and increasing Mn, Al-and Ca-feeding treatments and the adequate addition with trace alloying elements. The steel plates for ship-body streucture with three strength levels and ten toughness classes of A,B,D,E,AH32,DH32,EH32,AH36,DH36, and EH36 acn be produced in factor types approved by classification societies including CCS,LR, GL, ABS, BV, DNV, HK, and RINA. A part of these steel plates ahs entered into international market of ship-building steel paltes.
