Microwave surface resistance (R_s) of granular YBaCuO thin films sputtered on MgO single-crystals was investigated. For unpatterned films, R_s was determined from conical cavity resonator measurements. For patterned film structures (coplanar waveguide and microstrip resonators), theoretical models were used for R_s extraction. Moreover, for the microstrip structure, three temperature domains representative of the power non-linear effects were established and discussed by considering intrinsic and extrinsic contributions to the surface resistance.
