Preconditioning Method for Compressible Near-critical Fluids in Micro-Channel

A supercritical water flow in a micro-channel and a supercritical carbon-dioxide flow around a very small airfoil were calculated using the preconditioning method coupled with the Peng-Robinson equation of state. All calculated results indicate that the compressibility should be taken in the supercritical fluids into consideration even if the flow region is very narrow and the flow speed is very low. I believe that the present method based on the preconditioning method is the best method for simulating supercritical fluids near the critical point as an engineering tool.
