摘要

Cancer is one of major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide with 14 million new cases and 8.2 million cancer related deaths in 2012 [1]. Use of conventional chemotherapeutic agents that are distributed within the body rather evenly is always associated with dose-related site effects due to a lack of target specificity [2]. This lack of specificity can be overcome by drug delivery, and in particular by target delivery of drug by nanoparticles [3]. By using both passive and active targeting strategies, the drug delivery system can provide a high dose of drug molecules in tumor site without any harm to normal tissue [4].
