With respect to the application limitation of geothermal heat pump, the paper scans NARMs used in geothermal heat pump, and optimizes their concentration by analyzing their thermodynamic properties and cycle performance. The pure refrigerant, near-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures and non-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures, such as R22/R123, R123/R125 etc., are studied comparably in geothermal heat pump. The result shows that NARMs having wide gliding temperature difference can match the limitation of a pinch point at the outside exit of heat exchanger, reduce the unreasonable heat transfer temperature difference and improve the COP of system.
