In the last years a lot of investigations have been carried out with rapeseed oil as a fuel for diesel engines. These investigations concerned to steady state work conditions. The results of the indication of diesel AD3.152 in transient conditions have been presented in this paper. Tested engine was fuelled with rape oil - diesel oil mixtures. The physical-chemical properties of used fuels are presented. The tests were made at three dynamic pumping start angle values: 15°, 23°and 6° OWK also for fuel mixtures containing 0%, 20%, 40% and 100% of rape oil. The transient work conditions were modelled by free running engine acceleration caused by changes of injection pump control lever position. The influence of advance angle value and mixturecomposition on the efficiency in transient conditions was analysed. An up-to-date test bench simultaneously measuring and registering engine operation quick-changing parameters, such as: chamber pressure, injection pressure and injector needle lift, hasbeen used in the research.
