The role of regional economies in surface transportation policy politics and the decision making process

Regional economies have been one of the major contributors to surface transport policy politics and the decision making process. For most countries it could depend on provided services and the migration patterns as a result of the industrylocation and land use policies. In a larger sense, the European Community presents both compromises among individual countries and areas in which diversity of policies can be seen as unique to specific regions or individual countries This paper examines how the decision making process is influenced and which factors are seen as primary factors and which ones are seen as secondary factors.
