The antimicrobial activity of Florphenicol against bacterial agents isolated from pigs with respiratory or nervous symptoms in Ireland was investigated by a microdilution broth method in accordance with the procedures recommended by the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS). Field isolates of Pasteurella multocida (PM), Actinobacillus pleuropnuemoniae (APP), Haemophilias parasuis (HP) and Streptococcus suis (SS) were subjected to Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) testing.
