摘要

Integrated tolerance management is a systems approach for achieving global consistency of tolerances throughout an organization.the purpose is to facilitate harmonization of tolerances throughout an organization to achieve high quality functionaliyt at low cost.A tolerance managment system should consist of three elements:planning,control and improvement.The planning function aims at developing tolerancing policies,standard practices,organizational responsibilities,and action plans for implementation of new initiatives.The planning function aims at developing tolerancing policies,standard practices,organizational responsibilities,and action plans for implementation of new initiatives.The control function includes besides the inspection role also the collection and storage of data required for inspection,process control,monitoring and improvement.Because tolerancing involves a compromise between what is needed and what is possible,the control function plays a critical role in delivering the data on which such compromises should be made.Data from all sources should be organized to help identify opportunities for improvement in specific products as well as aplicable procedures and associated business plans.The cycle of planning,control and improverment continues by incorporating ideas for improved procedures and plans for the future.
