摘要

Emulation of intelligence or some capabilities which are inherited by human beings or animals has always been one of the important fields in the research of advanced robotics. Speaking of locomotive abilities, it's widely known that human beings and some animals have rather good on walking, running or jumping locomotion. And we believe that it is important and useful to emulate human being's walking, running or jumping ability by a robot. In fact, within the last few years several researchers have achieved certain results on emulation human being/animals' walking, running or jumping ability by robot.
