A hydraulic and pneumatic suspension (HPS) system was developed to realize stable traveling, comfortable driving and safety. In this study the dynamic behavior of a HPS system and the effect of temperature increase of working oil on it have been investigated by a numerical simulation as well as an experiment when the system receives a contant frequency vibration from a road. The modeling of the sytsem has been performed by Bondgraphs method. The simulation technique including heat generation in a pipe has given the good agreement with the experimental results. Furthermore, the way to determine the best loacations of accumulators, which play an important role in the dynamic behavior of a HPS system, has been established by using this simulation technique.
