Proposal of megasonic vibration induced coolant and its application to machining

摘要

This paper outlines the results of using megasonic level vibration induced coolant in machining operation to improve the performance. The performance characteristics of the coolant, which plays the roles of cooling, lubrication and flushing away the machined swarf from the machining zone, are improved. A significant influence on the surface finish is observed in case of non-corrosive aluminum alloy.
