Technological innovations have occasionally transformed the mental life of their time and radically progressed computer can generate major transformations in the work place, communications, and education. From this point, the paper investigates the role of computer played in children's bilingual teaching. It first analyzes the characteristics of computer-mediated bilingual education in view of Mcluhan's theory, and points out the potentialities provided by computer application. Then it summarized the experiences obtained from a small scale computer experiment in bilingual classroom, and, in the end emphasizes that computer application will bring about a revolution to bilingual education.
