A highly selective selective and tunable optical filter at 1.55 #mu#m using a Fabry-Perot resonator with micromachined InP-air gap distributed Bragg reflectors is developed in our laboratory. In order to optimize the global characeristics of the MOEMS, we have developed an opto-electro-mechanical model. The behavioral model, written in VHDLAMS-like, allows to simulate each part of this device (electrostatic actuation, mechanical response, optical filtering) separately. Moreover, an integrated simulation, taking into account the interactions between the different parts of the model, is also possible. This model has been implemented into a classical electronic simulator framework, and thus allows the simulation of an entire WDM communication system. The simulated network (STARNET-II-like) consists of four nodes, each one includes an optical filter for the control and a tunable one for the data.
