Towards a formalization of ecosystems and ecological models

In this paper, the authors have established an axiomatization of all the basic concepts of the general ecosystem theory. To start with, they have performed a scheme of the same concept of the ecosystem that was studied; being formalized by all those properties that have been considered essential, in the authors opinion, for the ecosystems. The construction of models, practical aspects of the theory, has a principal purpose the determination of relations in formal language, that is, in mathematical language. In this study the authors have stated a formalization of the ecological model theory. Moreover, in the field of hte construction of ecological models, experiences and new data lead the modeller to improve hte model which has already been constructed. It is important to define measures which let us choose the more suitable variables and to relate both the model with the system and the differnet models among themselves. In this way we will study different comparison idnexes.
