Assessed High Quality Without Additional Costs Technology Approval & Process Approval a chance and challenge for the Printed Circuit Industry The object of the CENELEC Electronic Components Committee (CECC) System for electronic components of assessed quality is to facilitate international trade by the harmonization of the specifications and quality assessment procedured for electronic components. With the new initiatives "Technology Approval" and "Process Approval" most advanced quality assessment procedures have been established by CECC for all kind of electronic components worldwide. CECC is the European Standardization System for Electronic Components and provides specifications for printed circuits which are used all over the world. Customers increasingly require their suppliers to become certified against ISO 9000 requirements and there is frequent misunderstanding that ISO 9000 certification provides a guarantee for high quality and reliable products. Such a gap can only be filled by a means ofcertification at product level. Thisproduct level certification is what the CECC System provides.
