Space utilization frontiers joint research

摘要

International Space Station will be operational within a few years. Japan will provide Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) which will be attached to the space station and many kinds of microgravity experiments are planned in the JEM. The Space Utilization Frontiers Joint Research Project started to support the scientists who plan to conduct microgravity experiments. Private research laboratories, universities and the national research laboratories participate in this research to promote the full utilization of potential offered by the unique microgravity environment. In this paper, an overview of the research is briefly explained.
