intensity-based liquid level sensor which operates up to 300$DGR@C is described in this paper. Liquid level measurements for different liquids with refractive index ranging from 1.33 to 1.635 have been obtained with extinction ratios between 20 dB and 39 dB. Measurement hysteresis for measurement of lubricate oil was 0.175 mm.
