Modern controls for plastics and rubber extrusion

Modern microelectronics-based temperature and drive controls for extrusion are examined. Particular attention is given to multizone microcomputer-based control systems, programmable logic controllers, drives using silicon controlled rectifiers, and the AC variable speed drive.
