A few examples of loop yagi arrays capable of generating circular polarization have appeared in the literature. However, each design has one or more major disadvantages, such as extremely narrow bandwidth or fabrication challenges. It is shown here that a loop yagi array can be driven using an element consisting of two parallel plates with the feed point located on a wire bridging the plates. The array produces circular polarization over a 2% bandwidth, should be relatively easy to build, and is mechanically robust.
