ABSTRACTAntenna element for circularly polarized high-frequency signals comprising, in succession, a first insu-lating layer in which a miniature horn is provided whichhas a square cross-section and whose inside surface ismetal-plated, a first supply network for signals whosedirection of polarization is of a first type linearpolarization, a second insulating layer in which a mini-ature waveguide is provided which has the same squarecross-section at the side facing the first network and arectangular cross-section at the other side, and whoseinside surface is also metal-plated, a second supply net-work, for signals whose direction of polarization is per-pendicular to the polarization of the signals of the firstnetwork, and a third insulating layer in which a miniaturewaveguide is provided which has the same rectangularcross-section at the side facing the second network andwhich is short-circuited so that its length is less thanthe width of this third layer. This antenna is intendedto be used in systems for receiving television signalstransmitted by satellite.
